A.Y. Strauss Franchise Attorney Evan Goldman Named a “Legal Eagle” for Third Time by Franchise Times

(ROSELAND, NJ – April 6, 2020) – A.Y. Strauss, a leading boutique law firm focused on commercial transactions and litigation in the areas of franchising law, real estate, construction contracting, and bankruptcy is pleased to announce that Evan Goldman, chair of the firm’s Franchise and Hospitality practice group, has been recognized by Franchise Times as a “Legal Eagle” for the third year in a row. Franchise Times is a national publication for franchisors and multi-unit franchisees. Legal Eagles is an annual listing that recognizes leading franchise law attorneys on the basis of input from their peers and clients as well as particular criteria set by the editorial panel of Franchise Times.

Aaron Y. Strauss, managing partner of A.Y. Strauss, said, “Evan is an outstanding leader of our Franchise group, serving clients with the highest levels of care and professionalism. We are thrilled to recognize his well-deserved accomplishment.”

Goldman added, “The franchise legal community is a fairly niche group, and to be listed as amongst the best and most-well-respected is an honor. And for my clients and colleagues to have nominated me for the third straight year is all the more gratifying. As the Franchise Times said, as a Legal Eagle, I “live and breathe franchising…,” and certainly, nothing could be more true. I am blessed to be in a profession I love, and to be recognized amongst such a talented group of attorneys is special for me.”

Goldman’s practice is focused on working closely with both franchisor and franchisee clients in a wide-range of franchised businesses, including restaurants, fitness centers, retailers, service- and home-based businesses, from start to finish on drafting, negotiating and registering disclosure documents and agreements. Goldman also represents clients in various dispute categories such as termination issues, fraud claims, and employment matters.

Goldman earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2011, and his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2008.
