James’ practice focuses on representing large financial institutions involved in complex securities litigation, investigations and regulatory enforcement actions. His experience includes guiding clients through breach of contract claims, SEC and CFTC reporting requirements for derivative transactions, and SEC, CFTC and FINRA investigations alleging potential regulatory violations.

Prior to joining the firm, James worked as an associate at Jones Day and most recently at Wilmer Hale, both in New York City. He earned his J.D. with honors from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, and his B.A. with honors from York College.
