Kelly M. Purcaro, Esq., a partner at A.Y. Strauss and co-chair of the firm’s Litigation Group, has been re-appointed as co-chair of the NJSBA Class Actions Committee for 2021-2022 by the NJSBA’s President Domenick Carmagnola, Esq.
Kelly was originally appointed in 2020 by then NJSBA 2020-2021 President Kimberly A. Yonta.
Known for her state and national commercial litigation and class action practice, Kelly is an experienced trial lawyer and has litigated a wide array of matters ranging from fraud to breach of contract to commercial disputes and employment claims. At A.Y. Strauss, Kelly serves as chair of the firm’s Class Action practice group. She recently moderated a panel at the NJSBA 2021 Annual Meeting entitled, “A Class Action Update: Federal and New Jersey Developments for 2020-2021,” which was co-sponsored by the NJSBA Class Actions Committee as part of the NJSBA’s Civil Litigation Track for CLE credit.
“I have been a long-time member of the Class Action Committee, and I am honored to serve another term as co-chair along with my good friend, Joseph A. Fischetti,” said Kelly. “Joe and I are exploring new ways to engage our members and are focused on adding value to the committee in new and creative ways. We are looking forward to another great term.”
