Anthony J. Crasto
Anthony J. Crasto is an associate in the Litigation Group at A.Y. Strauss, where he represents clients in complex commercial disputes, business torts and employment matters. Licensed as both an attorney and a CPA, Anthony brings a unique dual perspective to litigation strategy, blending legal insight with deep financial acumen to navigate high-stakes matters effectively.
Anthony’s experience spans all phases of litigation in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts, from case inception through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and resolution. He has handled matters involving breach of contract, partnership and shareholder disputes, discrimination and retaliation claims, and professional malpractice defense. His background as a CPA strengthens his ability to analyze financial records, assess damages, and provide clients with a comprehensive view of their legal and business risks.
Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss, Anthony practiced at a prominent firm where he focused on commercial litigation and professional liability matters. He also served as a student attorney in St. John’s University School of Law’s Securities Arbitration Clinic, representing under-served investors in FINRA proceedings. His prior experience includes a judicial externship with the Hon. John K. Sherwood in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as work at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Alternatives Audit Practice for hedge funds and private equity firms.
