Scott P. Downes is a paralegal at A.Y. Strauss, where he supports the Litigation Group in complex commercial litigation matters. Scott possesses in-depth knowledge of all phases of litigation, including managing large-scale discovery, reviewing and analyzing complex discovery materials, drafting pleadings, coordinating case strategy, and trial support.

Scott has extensive experience spanning over twenty years as a litigation paralegal. He is recognized for his dedicated and enthusiastic approach to leading collection and analysis in discovery and his ability to effectively maintain an expansive case load.

Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss, Scott worked at a number of boutique, mid-size and global firms across New Jersey and New York. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University. He also completed the ABA Certified Paralegal program at Raritan Valley Community College.
