Appointment Reflects Firm’s Continued Growth and Investment in Strategic Business Development
A.Y. Strauss LLC, a fast-growing full-service law firm with offices in Livingston, NJ; Hackensack, NJ; and New York City, has announced that Penny Paul has joined the firm as Director of Marketing & Business Development.
In this role, Penny leads the firm’s brand strategy, business development program, and client-facing presence. She partners with attorneys on client development and growth strategies; oversees the firm’s website, content, and digital presence; and manages media relations, public relations, ranking and award submissions, and crisis communications.

Penny brings more than 25 years of experience building brands, driving business development, and shaping the public profile of law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and nonprofit organizations through the development and execution of integrated marketing plans.
Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss, Penny held marketing and business development roles at regional, international, and Am Law 200 law firms. Earlier in her career, she managed stakeholder outreach and crisis communications for a Fortune 500 energy company and directed marketing campaigns at a strategic communications agency.
An award-winning writer and communications leader, Penny is a former practicing lawyer and a member of the Bars of New York, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia. Her articles have appeared in outlets including the New York Law Journal and Law360. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A. from Yale University.
