
Gregory J. Skiff
Gregory J. Skiff is a partner in the Litigation Group at A.Y. Strauss, where he focuses on complex commercial disputes. With over a decade of experience, Greg takes a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach, advising clients in real estate, construction, corporate, commercial, estate, matrimonial and employment-related matters. He helps clients resolve high-stakes conflicts efficiently and with strategic clarity.
Greg is a trial attorney who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, as well as in mediations and arbitrations. His matters span business divorces, contract disputes, real estate issues, estate conflicts, post-divorce judgment matters and employment claims. Known for defusing conflict while vigorously protecting client interests, Greg emphasizes collaboration and outcome-driven strategy aligned with each client’s business goals.
In addition to his litigation practice, Greg serves as outside general counsel for small to mid-sized businesses. He also advises candidates for bar admission in New York and New Jersey, guiding them through character and fitness proceedings. Greg has also presented workplace sexual harassment training seminars, helping employers build compliant and respectful work environments.
Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss, Greg founded and led Skiff Law Firm, a successful solo practice serving clients across New York and New Jersey. Earlier in his career, he served as counsel at a regional litigation firm and spent nearly a decade at a mid-sized New York firm practicing complex commercial litigation.
